Waking up with a pimple isn’t the end of the world. Although, it may seem like it . Is it just me or on your biggest days these bacteria filled guys appear.
What causes pimples to arise? How can spot treatments be effective in their removal. Are you using the correct ingredients to combat your beastly breakouts
Pimples come about by way of clogged pores, oil, dead skin and bacteria.
Sebaceous glands- Also know as oil glands, that produce sebum (oil).Sebum sticks to the skin, it’s pore clogging and often makes it difficult to shed.
Lets shine the light on Glossier .
Products being reviewed are as followed; Zit Stick and Exfoliating Skin Perfector.
The zit stick contains 5% benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide kills the germs that cause acne. Please keep in mind continual usage of this ingredient can cause peeling and dryness. The zit stick can be used on those pesky pop ups or you can apply everyday to an area in need of reducing acne. It doesn’t have to be limited to a spot treatment.
The Exfoliating Skin Perfector contains Salicylic Acid, Aloe, Niacinamide. Unlike benzoyl peroxide,Salicylic acid doesnt kill the acne bacteria . However, it does unclog the pores that contribute to breakouts.
Niacinaminde, also known as vitamin B3 is water soluble, helps reduce visibility of enlarged pores and improves skin tone. These are all great things. When dealing with acne, scarring can occur in some and the severity for others can be alarming.
My treatment room is a safe haven for my clients. I can recommend products that I carry but I can also educate them on items I don’t.
Overall these items for me are a win. The Zit Stick is sleek and discrete. It’s not overwhelming in smell and it’s powerful as hell! The exfoliator is awesome !
Let me first say I love the packaging ! It’s a liquid exfoliator. It’s pump design makes it easy to obtain the correct amount of solution for your cotton round, making the application simple and effective.
These products are universal and safe for all Fitzpatrick types.
