A one of a kind experience...

Palm Springs is known for it's beautiful one of kind modern architecture, desert hot weather and the ultimate laid back luxurious experience. The city lives up to its name "playground of the stars" with LA only being a short two hours away. About twenty minutes from the Palm Springs airport, The Parker is nestled in a hidden desert oasis. The resort is not like any other, it's character and retro nostalgic charm sets itself apart from any neighboring competitors.

I was fortunate enough to stay for a night and let's just say it is now my number one choice when I visit the area!

A small desert oasis...

As I eased into the beginning of my stay, I couldn't help but notice the little tasteful details around me. The concierge insisted I take a tour of the grounds by first of course directing me to the "lemonade stand" where I indulged in one of their speciality cocktails. A spiked lavender lemonade and a stroll around the plush garden was the perfect way to start my stay.

I got lost walking around the small desert garden. The layout of the resort is set up to be mesmerizingly intimate making the experience immediately warm and inviting.

I then headed to my room which had a unique 1950's charm to it with a few scandinavian statement pieces and even an adorable hammock in the back patio! The overall space was absolutely charming with it being conveniently located at the north side building just steps away from one of their pools.

Food & Drink

The resort has three restaurants and two bars. I enjoyed grabbing a pre dinner cocktail at the secluded Mini Bar and had the friendliest bartender! There is also Norma's being the most popular with the bright colored open-air terrace, a tasty brunch menu and one killer bloody mary. Make sure to make reservations if you are wanting to dine at any of their restaurants!

After dinner, I ended up taking a quick night dip in the Gene Autry pool and soaked in the warm desert night air. It was so peaceful and a great way to end the night.

Goodbye for now...

Sadly, all things must eventually come to end. My experience at The Parker was definitely one of a kind and the only thing I'd do differently is book a longer stay! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a boutique resort with a charming character in the Palm Springs area.
